NO SCHOOL: MEMORIAL DAY

Please note school will be closed Monday, May 27^th in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday.

ELEMENTARY FIELD DAY:  TUESDAY, MAY 28^th 

Our annual elementary field day for students in 1^st through 6^th grades will be held on Tuesday, May 28^th from 9:00 – 3:00 on our GBS soccer field.  If you did not order a Jersey Mike’s box lunch, please send in a disposable sack lunch with drink for your child.  We will not be able to accommodate heat-ups or lunch orders on Field Day.  The dress code for field day is as follows:  1) Knee-length, loose-fitting athletic shorts, 2) Granite T-shirt, 3) Tennis shoes with socks and 4) Sunscreen.

SECONDARY FINAL EXAMS – TUESDAY, MAY 28^TH – FRIDAY, MAY 31^ST

The final exam schedule has been distributed to all secondary students.  Please make sure you turn in the Parental Permission form for any exam exemptions.  The exam schedule will be as follows:

Monday – NO SCHOOL

Tuesday – 1^st and 3^rd period exams

Wednesday – 2^nd and 5^th period exams

Thursday – 4^th and 7^th period exams

Friday – 8^th period exam

Please note the scheduled graduation rehearsals on Wednesday and Thursday.  Secondary Choir members are required to rehearse from 11:45 – 1:00 on Thursday.  Secondary Choir members are required to perform at the graduation ceremony.

SENIOR GRADUATION

We wish to congratulate this year’s seniors, the class of 2024.  This year our senior graduation will be held on Thursday, May 30^th at 7:00 pm in the Granite Baptist Church auditorium.  We are still in need of a few more parent volunteers to help with the Senior Graduation reception.  If you would like to volunteer to help, please call the School Office.

END-OF-YEAR AWARD CEREMONY – FRIDAY, MAY 31^ST 

The elementary award ceremony is at 8:30 am and the secondary award ceremony is at 9:45 am in our church auditorium.  Dismissal on Friday, May 31^st will be at 11:00 am.  There is no aftercare on the last day of school.

SUMMER SCHOOL EXTENSION PROGRAM

Back by popular demand is our Summer School Extension Program for students in K4 through 6^th grade. This year our summer program will run from Monday, June 17^th – Friday, August 9^th.  We have mailed a summer program flyer to all our current families. Please contact the School Office if you are interested.

REGISTRATION FEE REMINDER

Just a reminder to current GBS families who have not enrolled for the 2024-2025 school year, some of the elementary classes are almost full.  A registration fee of $250 per child ($200 for K3/K4) must be paid before your registration can be processed.
