EXCELLENCE WITH ETERNAL PURPOSE

GUARDIANS DOMINATE

Both of our boys basketball teams dominated at their tournaments! We are proud of the hard work and dedication that they put into the season. Congratulations to Tristen Rawlings, who got MVP for the tournament, and also Dylan Groves and James Arnold, who both got the all-tournament awards for their teams. Also, a huge congratulations to the Girls Varsity Team who received 1st place in the division!

SPOTLIGHT ON STUDENT TALENT

March 12th was our In-House Fine Arts Performance. The students showcased what they have been practicing for the upcoming ABCS Fine arts competition in April. For several weeks, the students have been diligently practicing their talents in music, theater, preaching, and more. The performances left parents with glowing with pride over their talented students. Special recognition is due to Mrs. Leah Chamberland, Miss Beka Chamberland, and Mrs. Shelley Mahoney for all their hard work in organizing, coaching, and practicing with our fine arts musicians.

STUDENTS STEP INTO PRAYER

The SGA is starting a new Prayer Team! Secondary students are able to submit anonymous prayer requests so that the Prayer Team will be able to spend time praying for those requests. What a great ministry for our students to be able to pray for each other!

THE GUARDIAN GUIDE TO SUCCESS

At Granite Baptist Academy, success is built through daily choices and good habits. Work hard in your classes, stay organized, and start assignments early so you are not rushed later. Do your best to listen carefully, ask questions when you need help, and encourage those around you. Show respect to teachers and classmates alike. Get involved in school activities when you can. Above all, strive to honor God in your attitude, words, and actions each day.

IF TEACHERS HAD ANOTHER JOB…

We recently asked the Seniors about what profession teachers would be in if they did not teach. This is what they thought:

Mrs. Stover – Librarian

Mr. Mahoney – Barber

Mr. Cullum – Museum Tour Guide

Mr. Chamberland – Salesman

Mrs. Mason – Secretary

Miss Kelseigh – Receptionist

Mr. Berg – New York Tech Bro

Matt and Nate – WWE Fighters

Mrs. Leah Chamberland – Influencer

Mr. Mike – Construction Worker

GENERATIONS GATHER AT GBA

Grandparents Day this year was once again a success! GBA loves our grandparents, and it was a blessing being able to host them on this special day of the year. Grandparents were able to enjoy breakfast, the book fair, and classroom time. Being able to go to the classrooms was a new addition to Grandparents Day this year. Many grandparents enjoyed being able to see their grandchild’s classroom, their desks, and where their students spend their days at school. The students also loved being able to show their grandparents around the places they spend their days at school.

We hope this time at Grandparents Day was a blessing to grandparents and grandchildren as well, and that it helped create some special memories that will be remembered for years to come.

STUDENTS STRENGTHEN THEIR FAITH

Many of the high school students had the opportunity to go to the NYFC (National Young Fundamentalists Conference) at Clays Mill Baptist Church in Kentucky! The theme of the conference was “One Life”. While they were able to enjoy time playing games, enjoying bounce houses, and spending time with each other at the hotel, the main focus was the preaching of God’s Word. In the 10 messages preached, the students were challenged to spend their one life serving God, and not wasting it on earthly things that will not matter in eternity.

Teenagers travelled from around the country to be able to come to this conference. There were probably over 1,000 teenagers in attendance! Our students had a blast, but more importantly, they made decisions that will help them in their walk with the Lord. We are proud of them for those decisions and for their desire to have a close walk with God!

FAITHFUL THROUGH THE FINAL QUARTER

A WORD FROM OUR PRINCIPAL,  MR. MAHONEY

As we enter the home stretch of the fourth quarter, I want to take a moment to reflect on what a

wonderful school year it has been here at Granite Baptist Academy. God has truly blessed our students, faculty, and families throughout this year, and it has been a joy to see the growth that has taken place both academically and spiritually.

Our students have worked diligently in their classes, participated enthusiastically in school activities, and demonstrated a desire to honor the Lord in their conduct. From the classroom to the athletic field and from chapel to special events, it has been encouraging to watch our school community continue to grow stronger together.

As we move through these final weeks of the school year, I encourage our students to finish  strong. This is a time to remain focused, continue striving for excellence, and make the most of every opportunity to learn and grow.

Thank you to our parents and supporters for partnering with us. We look forward to finishing this year well and celebrating all that God has done.
